Before joining Warwick, Graham has also spent over 15 years in design and engineering roles, ranging from an engineering apprenticeship, through to Head of Product Design & Development—working for organisations such as GEC, Dyson, Mathmos and others.

In academia, his experience spans more than two decades teaching at institutions such as Aston University, Central Saint Martins, Birmingham City University, Coventry University, and the Royal College of Art. He has also designed a significant portfolio of creative student-facing industry collaboration projects, guiding students through modules, workshops, real-world industry briefs, and exhibitions. Clients have included the likes of Jaguar Land Rover, Marks & Spencer, Cadbury, and more.

We look forward to witnessing his contributions towards enhancing our undergraduate programmes — from module delivery and student supervision to industry-linked design projects and cross-disciplinary collaborations. The appointment is effective immediately, and Mr Powell will be based in Room R2.26 of the Ramphal Building, with office hours Mondays 2-3pm. Read more about his interests and experiences here.
