About COPR
Launched in 2014, the Centre for Operational Policing Research (COPR) is a new interdisciplinary research centre bringing together researchers for across the University. We aim to develop a research agenda that is both intellectually innovative and has clear policy and practice implications within policing. We have built a network of senior officers (Assistant Chief Constable level or above) across 12 forces, and have many live projects with data and access provided by the police.
The Networking Lunch
The networking lunch is an opportunity to present COPR to researchers across the University, and to learn from participants about their current research projects and find out how COPR can support them and involve them in future research bids and activities. Participants to the seminar will consist of postgraduate researchers and academics interested in policing research.
The aim of the event is to build on existing COPR activities and the potential access to police data that it offers, in order to strengthen networking and collaboration between university departments. We hope that this will lead to further substantial collaborative research, and also attract external funding for large-scale interdisciplinary research projects.
If your research is about policing but you can't make the lunch, get in touch with Neil Stewart or Jackie Hodgson.
