Question 1 - Please introduce yourself and your role at Warwick Enterprise?

Chris Wilkinson 0:07
Hi, my name is Chris Wilkinson, and I'm a Student Innovation Officer here at Warwick Enterprise. So within my role with Student Innovation Officer, my main priority is working with stakeholders across the university. Be those students, be those student societies, academics or professional services, and working out ways to incorporate innovation and enterprise within their activities. And so that might be helping societies with an event or running a programme alongside academics. I also work very closely with the rest of the team on things such as The Pathways Programme, the Warwick Secret Challenge, and also helping people with their spin out ventures be those kind of businesses not for profits, or anything where they want to enrich themselves.

Question 2 - Who should get involved with Warwick Enterprise and why?

Chris Wilkinson 1:02
I personally think everyone should get involved in Warwick Enterprise programmes, having enterprise is a little bit of a misnomer. We might think it's more about setting up businesses and setting up ventures. And there is definitely an element of that. But I think one of the key things is the skills that you develop through enterprise and innovation education, and the asset for both your personal and professional life. So whether you want to move into a new career, or whether you want to go to an interview, the skills that you would develop through our programmes are beneficial for both of those. So I don't think it's restricted exclusively to people who want to set up their business. Whether you want to go and work in an entirely new industry, or whether you just want to learn more about yourself and develop skills. I really think Warwick Enterprise is the place for you.
