About the business project

Jason found a niche market and a clear demand for custom keyboards.

"Most of the keyboards on the market are oversized and very expensive. At Christmas last year (2021), I was given a bunch of parts to build my keyboard, and I did. This was my prototype and how the idea started.

The Good Game Fund gave me the confidence to explore what I can do with my idea."

Next steps

"Now, I also have more knowledge about the market, and I want to increase my offering in terms of materials and level of personalisation."

How Warwick Enterprise have helped

James was one of seven awardees of the Good Game Fund, an opportunity Warwick Enterprise launched as part of the activities at the Esports Centre. The fund helps support students who have an innovative idea that solves an existing problem in creative, digital or the esports industry.

Advice for other students

"If you have a hobby that you are really into, or you really enjoy something that you do, and you feel you can commit to that, apply for available university opportunities; there is nothing to lose, and, even if you don’t win, participating is a great experience”
