The DCS Competition 2022, organised by the Computer Science Department and supported by Warwick Enterprise, focused on innovation and entrepreneurial pitches by the students. Entrepreneurial 3rd and 4th years were invited to present their innovative individual and group projects. Entrants had to give a 3 to 5-minute ‘elevator pitch’ to convince a panel of industry experts that their project has the potential to be turned into a successful business or social enterprise.

The judges comprised Muj Choudhury (CEO of VoiceIQ and a VC investor), Dhruva Konidena (Warwick alumnus and Founder & CEO of Neural Foundry) and an academic from the department. Departing from the usual mark scheme, the judges selected the winners by choosing the most impressive business/social enterprise idea based on engagement, originality and viability. The event was followed by a panel discussion.
