Warwick Enterprise, in collaboration with the Statistics Department, has launched a workshop for the first-year students as part of the innovation 22 campaign to improve the student’s ability to present and be able to speak in public and transfer the data into a more meaningful recommendation for businesses and their target audience. The workshop took place between the 20th and 24th of June 2022, and the 27th of June was a day to present what they had achieved during the week.

During the workshop, the participants gave a set of data for two different industry, car dealership and clothing manufacturing, to analyse and provide a case study with recommendations for the target customer audience. The students have attended various sessions during the week related to pitching their ideas and the basics of giving a speech in front of a panel and audience. This exercise's primary goal is to provide students with a sense of what it means to analyse data in a business context and provide a practical recommendation based on the situation.

Friday afternoon was the day for practising the presentation in front of the panel. On Monday, the groups presented the results to the panel, which shows an improvement in their performance in addition to their ability to analyse data in the context, which makes the recommendations more reasonable and valuable.
