Academic call for Advanced Training module and workshop proposals

The Warwick ESRC Doctoral Training Centre is issuing a call for Warwick academics to bid for credit bearing and non-credit bearing Advanced Training proposals for the 2019-20 academic year.

Advanced Training events usually run in Term 3 and require a minimum 10 week preparation and advertising lead time, if possible.

Non-credit bearing workshops

Proposals are sought for short (half, 1 or 2 day), nationally leading, advanced training workshops for PhD students in the broader Social Sciences. The chosen Advanced Training workshops will be funded by the Warwick ESRC DTC and promoted via the NCRM portal to PhD students nationally and, as such, proposals should address areas where Warwick is thought leading or has recognised expertise.

Please use the Advanced Training proposal form to provide details of your proposed event and return for the attention of ESRC Doctoral Training Centre’s Training Coordinator, Laura King, using email ESRCdtp at warwick dot ac dot uk as soon as possible and by Friday 10 January 2020 at the latest.

Credit bearing modules

Warwick ESRC DTP would like to hear from Warwick academics who would like to run credit bearing Advanced Training modules (2-3 day courses carrying 10 CATs) during the 2020-21 academic year and onwards. Please note that these modules would need to be formally approved through your home department and submitted through the University module approval system. However, if you have ideas for proposals that could be advertised across the Midlands Graduate School Network and would like feedback before submitting, please send details to Laura on ESRCdtp at warwick dot ac dot uk.
