Public History in UK Higher Education
Author: Various
Type: Case Study
When discussing public history in higher education, we are left with a pressing concern; as calls for impact and interaction between universities and the wider community grow ever louder, in which ways can, and have, lecturers and students best brought their love of history into public view? What follows here is a short collection of case studies that demonstrate how Public History has been interpreted by a variety of lecturers and universities and how they have engaged their students with it. We hope that it will inspire lecturers to think critically about module and course design and help bring higher education and public history ever closer. Updated June 2011 |
