On 27 May 2011, the History Subject Centre held a full-day workshop on the design and management of modules in HE History. The event was held at Loughborough University and hosted a variety of speakers from throughout the UK.

Topics included Developing First-Year Survey Modules, Creating Special Subject and Honours Modules, Understanding QAA Benchmarks and Learning Outcomes, Navigating Departmental Approval Forms and Administration, Engaging with Blended and Distance Learning, Developing and Managing Work Placements and Alternative Assessment Methods.
