North-West Network of Historians
North-West Network Modern British History Seminar Series:
The North-West Network Modern British History Seminar aims to provide a forum, which will bring together historians in the North-West working on aspects of Modern British History from the mid-nineteenth century to the present. A large number of academics, writers, curators and students work on British history throughout the region, yet opportunities to meet are surprisingly rare. The convenors hope to provide an opportunity for post-graduate students and early career researchers, in particular, to meet with scholars from different institutions.
We propose to host two or three meetings a year on Friday afternoons, alternating between Liverpool and Manchester for their excellent transport links.
