Centre Undergraduate Researcher receives Warwick Advantage Award
Congratulations to Alex Mockridge, one of the Undergraduate Researchers working for the Reinvention Centre, for winning a Warwick Advantage Award. The Warwick Advantage programme is an initiative aiming to encourage extracurricular achievements, which can be recognised through the presentation of Warwick Advantage Awards.
Alex had this to say:
"My work as an Undergraduate Researcher was a key part of the grounds for my receiving a Warwick Advantage Award. It contributed to all four sections of the award: "Involvement, Inclusion and Interaction"; "Teamwork and Leadership Skills"; "Community" and "Events and Initiatives". Particularly in terms of teamwork, communication and in event planning and management I found that the skills and experiences accrued through working for the Reinvention Centre helped me fulfil the requirements for the award."

'The Idea of a University' exhibition
This exhibition will take place 24-26 June 2010, 11am-11pm, in The Mead Gallery, Warwick Arts Centre, University of Warwick. The mixed-media installation and events will draw on archival and interview data in order to investigate and map the spatial and historical generation and development of the University of Warwick from the 1960s to the present day.
The research has been undertaken by students and staff from the Reinvention Centre, with joint funding from the HEA's History Subject Centre (see the Spaces and Stories project web pages for more information). The exhibition forms an artistic collaboration with Fierce! Festival.
For further information and an invitation to the launch event please email reinvention at warwick dot ac dot uk. More details will be available soon on the Warwick Arts Centre website.
