Research dissemination event

Event overview

A dissemination event is being held at Loughborough University to share the results of the ACCEPTANCE trial. This trial was conducted by Nessa Millet during her time as an ESRC funded PhD student. The aim of ACCEPTANCE was to help women who had been treated for cervical cancer to become more active and do more walking over a 12-week period. The ACCEPTANCE trial ended in January 2022 and so the research team involved are keen to share the results of this novel trial. There has been an ongoing call for research to be disseminated in a manner which is relevant to stakeholders and the public in order to aid knowledge translation. Therefore, in addition to publishing the results of the ACCEPTANCE trial in a peer reviewed journal, this event will provide an opportunity for the results of the ACCEPTANCE trial to be shared with the wider public.

We would like to invite those who participated in the trial, academic staff from Loughborough university, clinical staff from the University Hospitals of Leicester, charity representatives and any interested council members to join us at the dissemination event. We would also like to invite any students from the Midlands Graduate School. Please ensure that you register for the event, free of charge, at the following link: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/acceptance-results-dissemination-event-tickets-319694453717

If you would like to inquire about your attendance at this event, please feel free to contact Ms Nessa Millet at N.millet@lboro.ac.uk.
