In central Birmingham, Aston University is only 15 minutes from Birmingham New Street by foot or bus. From here, it is only 30 minutes to Coventry and 1hr10 to Leicester by train. The Aston University campus is located on a green 60 acre, self contained site in the centre of Birmingham, within 5-10 minutes walk of the main shopping, business and entertainment areas of the city.

Parking is available to visitors in Car Park 5 on Holt St (currently £6.20 a day) and can be booked via the JustPark app. More detailed travel information can be found on Aston's siteLink opens in a new window.

Coventry city centre is on the main intercity route. The rail station is towards the south of Coventry city centre (Station Square CV1 2GT), a 10-20 minute walk from most campus buildings. If you are arriving in Coventry at the central Pool Meadow bus and coach station, it is a short walk up Priory Street to the campus.

Coventry city council provides free parking for drivers to complete their journey to the city centre. The park and ride facility is based at Memorial Park, Kenilworth Road, CV3 6PT with a return bus fare (currently £2.50).

Newport, Shropshire, TF10 8NB

Harper Adams University is roughly 10 minutes from Newport, Shropshire, and the next nearest towns are Telford (15 minutes by car) and Stafford (30 minutes by car), although both are roughly 1hr away by public transport. Although Telford Central is the closest train station to Harper Adams, you may find more direct trains to Stafford or Shrewsbury, and Shrewsbury has a bus service that stops at the campus. From Telford Central, Birmingham is 45 minutes, Coventry is 1hr20 and Leicester is 2hrs away by train. By car, Birmingham is 1 hr 20 mins, Coventry is 1hr 30 and Leicester is 2 hrs away from campus.

The nearest bank, dentist and doctor surgeries are located in Newport and full hospital in Telford. Further information on how to find them can be found on their website at travel information for students or the visitor page.

Edgbaston, Birmingham, B15 2TT

Just south of Birmingham’s city centre, it can take under 15 minutes to travel to Birmingham’s main train station, Birmingham New Street. The University is the only UK university to have its own railway station on campus, known as ‘University Station’. The Station is a real asset to the University, making travel by train a convenient option for many. University Station is only two stops from Birmingham New Street where staff, students and visitors can catch trains to locations all across the country. The journey between the University and Birmingham New Street takes approximately eight minutes.

Leicester, LE1 7RH

Only 10 minutes away from Leicester station, the University is very central in the city. The train journey to or from Birmingham is under 1hr, and to Coventry or to London is roughly 1hr15. Unfortunately there is not enough space to allow students to park on Campus during working hours (other than disabled students), but public car parks nearby will be the most convenient parking without University permits including students.

Based in south Coventry in the centre of England, travel to the city centre and train station takes around 20 minutes. From the station, it is only 30 minutes to Birmingham by train, 1hr40 to London, and 2hrs to Manchester.
