Gibson Group: Charlotte Fletcher

Biography

Charlotte was born in 1975 and grew up in Warwickshire. After being a stay at home mum to her 4 children she decided to return to education in 2011 graduating with a first-class degree in Biological and Forensic Science from Coventry University.

Charlotte then came to the University of Warwick as part of the MAS CDT where she completed her masters degree. During this time, she completed 2 projects the first investigating a nested anova design for method validation. The second looked at nanoparticle design for investigation of chromosome segregation during mitosis.

Charlotte began her Ph.D. in September 2015, funded by the EPSRC.

Research Interests

Charlotte is primarily a biologist with interests in molecular and cell biology. The interdisciplinary nature of MAS CDT has however broadened Charlottes interests to include nanoparticle chemistry and the use of chemistry to further biology.
