Engineered Diamond Technologies

Welcome

Diamond is the epitome of a multi-functional material with applications in thermal, optical, sensing, electrochemistry and quantum. This Prosperity Partnership between Element Six (E6) and the University of Warwick (UW) seeks to develop the next generation of technologies that are enabled through exploitation of the amazing combination of extraordinary properties that diamond offers.

Vision Statement

This Prosperity Partnership on Engineered Diamond Technologies is aimed at delivering value beyond the extreme properties of diamond by developing new materials with enhanced and tailored properties, novel processing techniques and proof of concept devices to demonstrate capability, engage end users and drive exploitation.

The project will deliver internationally leading research at TRL 1-3, disseminate the research breakthroughs via jointly authored high impact publications and protect discoveries through UK held IP.

Project outcomes include the creation of an integrated diamond technologies supply chain, commercialisation of the breakthroughs by us and our downstream partner companies, and the training of researchers who can work effectively across the boundaries between academia and business.
