Roke is the principal electronics research and development centre of Chemring Group Plc. Roke are supporting the team with assistance from their engineers and the concept/technology of the WUSAT-3 high-resolution direction-finding payload.

The WUSAT team are extremely grateful to the Andrew Little Fund for the generous contribution made to our WUSAT2 programme. This funding was instrumental in helping the team to develop the satellite through the rigorous review stages of the launch programme, and as a result the satellite was ready for delivery to the launch team(Bremen) in December 2014 with successful launch (Sweden) in March 2015.

Eurocircuits supplies PCBs of the highest standard and quality to customers around the globe. From one off prototypes to full mass production, their expertise and experience with complex precision multi layered PCBs in rigid, flexi or hybrid materials makes them an ideal partner for mission critical applications. Eurocircuits are generously manufacturing PCBs for the WUSAT project.

SolidWorks 3D design software can help you design better products faster. When you have an idea for a great product, you'll have the tools to design it in less time, and at lower cost. Solidworks are providing the WUSAT team with software licences and technical support.

The A. Proctor Group supplied 5mm Cyrogel for use in our WUSAT-2 CubeSat. Cyrogel was selected due to its low thermal conductivity which meant it would maintain an operating temperature inside the satellite of no colder than -40°C. WUSAT-2 was successfully launched 100km into space via a Rexus rocket from Sweden's Space Centre in March 2015.

The A. Proctor Group’s Spacetherm® Aerogel combines a silica aerogel with fibres to produce a flexible yet robust blanket solution. This superior material is affordable for a wide range of challenging applications where thermal performance is crucial.

Spacetherm can provide a number of different solutions - dependent on the application - due to its hydrophobic nature, flexibility and ease of use.

Thales is the UK’s second largest defence electronics supplier.
