Biography
Zixuan is an MPhil/PhD student in the Intelligent Vehicles group at WMG. He received a BSc in Computer Engineering from Iowa State University.
My Research
My research focuses on E/E architecture design with FPGA on Autonomous Vehicles. FPGA is a hardware platform with the characteristics of parallel computing, high-performance efficiency, and design flexibility. Current E/E architectures are capable of dealing with many requirements; however,
their capability cannot be sufficient to handle the requirements for self-driving/future vehicles. With the increasing demands on Machine Learning, FPGA can be an essential role in accelerating the Neural Network Process, like CNN, to reduce the latency on Autonomous Vehicles. Furthermore, with the advantage of flexibility, we can build an E/E Archietecure that relies only on the FPGA to meet the SOA standard.
