Warwick use the Credit Accumulation and Transfer Scheme (CATS) to express credit for each module of learning the student undertakes.  The Chemistry with Scientific Writing MSc consists of 180 CATS in total with each taught module contributing 12 CATS towards the final total.

The Core Modules

The three core modules (3 x 12CATS) are assessed by 100 % coursework and contribute 20 % towards your final grade.

The Optional Modules

The five optional modules (5 x 12CATS) are assessed differently and depends on the individual module and contributes approximately 33 % towards your final grade.

The Research Project

The research projects (84 CATS) is assessed by coursework, presentation and viva voce and contributes approximately 47 % towards your final grade.
