Outside of Work
I love sport – I play netball and badminton every week through Warwick Sport, through which I have made a great group of friends!
I miss football, having not had an easy chance to play in a long time.
My car is over a decade old now, and as such it's starting to grumble. I've been under my car a number of times the last couple of years, but I really enjoy it.
I have also helped my Dad to revamp a tired, old Mini Clubman 1275GT – only this September we went to the annual Mini Show at Stanford Hall at the east end of the M6.
The last three years I have helped with the induction of new MOAC/MAS, Systems Biology, AS:MIT and MRC students into their MSc+PhD programmes – I even took the reigns the last two years!
As tiring as the week was, it was brilliant getting to meet a new bunch of students each year, also enjoying teaching of Maths to those struggling with the material.
I don't have tons of time on my hands, but every now and then (usually when a birthday or baby shower arises), I will bake a decorative cake (I can't take full credit – my friend Sarah usually initiates the idea!).
The example on the left is the one I made for Sarah on her birthday once, so actually I can claim total credit for that one!
