Claudio Vallotto

About me

My name is Claudio and I come from Italy. I graduated in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology at the University of Padova. During my master thesis I have been working on drug delivery systems, focusing in particular on bioconjugation of therapeutic proteins.

The aim of my PhD project is to explore the applicability of magnetic resonance techniques in the pharmaceutical, biomedical and clinical areas. Electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy is a powerful biophysical tool which can be applied in these fields with promising results. In fact, since paramagnetic species such as organic radicals and transition metals are involved in a wide range of natural processes, the application of this technique which is still underutilized is open to various possibilities.
