Baddesley Clinton, National Trust House and Gardens

A fine Elizabethan era moated house, dating back to the 15th century - with three known priest-holes for hiding persecuted Catholics. OS Grid Reference SP200715 (see map by Streetmap.co.uk).

There is a nearby church, just a short walk from the entrance (below, left). I found the lovely fungus on the right in late September, on part of the "nature trail" in the house gardens:

Another NT property, the Packwood House, is very close and you could easily do a combined trip - they even offer a discounted combined ticket.
