Matthew Pitts

Matthew is an EngD Research Engineer at WMG, working with Jaguar Land Rover Research on the evaluation of early-phase in-vehicle technology concepts with a focus on User Experience. The project encompasses a range of topics relating to automotive Human-Machine Interface, including human factors, driving simulation and User Experience evaluation.

Matthew has been involved in automotive research for over ten years, joining the University of Warwick to work on the Premium Automotive Research and Development programme in 2004. His research has covered various aspects of in-vehicle User Experience, including perceived quality, haptics and evaluation of Human-Machine Interface technologies. He has worked with a number of automotive manufacturers and suppliers including Jaguar Land Rover, Bentley Motors and Tata Motors on collaborative research projects, aiding them to improve the quality of their products and processes.
