Learning to manufacture electric machines - industry workshops development

Research Group Activity

WMG/Energy/Electric machines

Project Description

Within project WELD, WMG and SoE are developing industry workshops to fast forward upskilling of the UK workforce on Electric Machines, Drives and Power Electronics. The e-machine contents are focusing on manufacturing, with hands-on activities making parts and assemblies if the DER Winding Centre of Excellence in the AMMC building on campus.

By Easter, we will be developing industry workshop contents that need to be tested internally with a wide audience and tailor the contents to the right level of complexity and guarantee an inclusive delivery.

The successful applicant to the internship will gained knowledge on electric machines and their manufacturing as well as insight on teaching material development, supporting improvement of contents and formatting.
