We welcome Gaby Atfield from Warwick Institute for Employment Research (IER) who will discuss her work on the Futuretrack project, a longitudinal study exploring the relationship between higher education, career decision-making and labour market opportunities - funded by HESCU.

The seminar will take place on Tuesday 11th November 2014 between 12:30 – 14:00 in Education Studies - WE1.17. Seminars are open to members of staff and postgraduate research students registered at the University of Warwick.

What is childhood? In recent years, a cluster of critical and complex ideas have emerged around the nature of biological, social and psychological growth in the early years, reflecting the changing nature of adult - child relations, and political and cultural understandings of childhood in the twenty-first century.

Clara Joergensen from CES and WMS presents on ‘Schooling Experiences of Migrant and Minority ethnic youth in England and Spain – a discussion of friendships in schools and 'peer social capital'

The seminar will be held on Tuesday 4th November in Humanities H0.60 at 2pm - 3pm.
