Project Governance

Creating Healthy Jobs - how we manage the project

The Creating Healthy Jobs project brings together researchers, employers, policymakers, healthcare professionals, and worker representatives to identify how job design influences health and wellbeing. This page outlines how the project is governed to ensure transparency, stakeholder engagement, and high-quality research delivery.

The Creating Healthy Jobs project is governed through three complementary groups:

  • The Project Management Group, Chaired by Professor Chris Warhurst, oversees day-to-day operations, including monitoring outputs, project finances, risks and deliverables, coordinating project meetings, workshops and events, engagement and communications, and funder liaison. It convenes monthly work package leads progress meetings and an annual meeting for the wider team.
  • The Co-production Group brings together diverse external public expertise, and supports public involvement and knowledge mobilisation across work packages, and advises on legacy opportunities and future research possibilities.

  • The Strategic Advisory Board, Chaired by Professor Dame Carol Black, provides overall oversight and accountability, guiding research priorities, questions, and methodologies, and strategic guidance on future research directions.
