CJC Event Proposals
The CJC welcomes proposals for the following events:
- Work in Progress Seminar: These seminars are specifically designed for the presentation of formative ideas and/or arguments, preliminary research findings, and draft chapters/papers with a view to engaging in discussion to help crystallise thoughts and progress the work. These seminars are open to all members of the CJC based at Warwick. Submissions from Early Career scholars and PhD Candidates are especially encouraged.
- CJC Community Circle: An informal, dedicated space for CJC members based at Warwick to come together and engage in open dialogue with other members on particular topics, issues or thematic concerns related to the criminal justice field.
- Research Seminar: These seminars provide an opportunity for criminal justice scholars and practitioners to present their work. The structure typically involves a 30-minute presentation by the speaker(s) followed by a 30-minute discussion. This is an open event and speakers need not be based at Warwick.
- Book Seminar/Launch: A forum to showcase and discuss recently published/soon to be published books in the criminal justice field. The structure typically involves some introductory remarks by the author, followed by a presentation from one or more discussants who have deeply engaged with the work. This is an open event and authors need not be based at Warwick.
