Welcome Back Dr Lorenzo Cotula

We are pleased that Dr Lorenzo Cotula’s research fellowship has been extended for another three years. We look forward to our continued academic and policy collaborations. Dr Cotula is a principal researcher in law and sustainable development at the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED), where he leads the Legal Tools Team. He leads research, capacity and policy work on issues at the interface between law and international development, with a focus on the law governing natural resource rights and investments in low and middle-income countries. He has published widely on land and natural resource rights, investment law and human rights.

Lorenzo is currently working on a project with Dr Celine Tan and Dr James Harrison on Doing International Economic Law Differently? Socio-Legal Approaches to International Economic Law.
