Dr Ania Zbyszewska, Assistant Professor at Warwick Law School and Dr Sara Benedi Lahuerta, Lecturer at Southampton Law School, have produced a policy briefing paper on ‘Rethinking EU Equality Law: Towards a More Coherent and Sustainable Regime’ based on their research collaboration within the context of a British Academy-funded group project ‘Future Directions of EU Labour Law’, as well as on their individual prior research. The paper highlights three examples of internal, external and systemic incoherence within the EU equality law framework and offers specific recommendations through which this framework can be improved.
