Collective Out of Office due to Pandemic (COOP): Lifestyle Section of The IEL Collective

When a few of us started up the Collective, we wanted this to be a community, a space for challenging the epistemological, methodological and conceptual boundaries of international economic law (IEL) scholarship, teaching and practice yes but also a productive and supportive space for generating conversations, nurturing and supporting colleagues at all stages of their careers and from all backgrounds, and providing a community that we can lean on in good times and bad.

COVID-19 is an extraordinary event. Not a single one of us would have thought that at our inaugural conference at The University of Warwick, UK, in November 2019, that the world as we know it would be turned upside down and inside out like this.

However, this is also a turning point for us and it is where our community should and will come together, not only in a professional capacity but a deeply personal and pastoral one too. So with this mind, we are establishing COOP, an online space for us to share our reflections, ideas, tips and advice for those of us caught up amid the social, economic and political turmoil of COVID-19.
