Best Graduate Student Paper Award
The organizers congratulate John Morris, a doctoral researcher in the Department of Geography at Durham University, whose paper 'A Cultural Economy Approach to Performativity in Central Banking: The Lively Practices of Financial Stability' won the New Directions in International Political Economy Best Graduate Student Paper Award.
The organizers agreed that the paper was highly original, theoretically sophisticated, and was based upon innovative and interesting empirical research. John received a framed certificate of the award, as well as £200 worth of book vouchers from Palgrave Macmillan.
