Civil Society and Accountable Global Governance
Summary
The Civil Society and Accountable Global Governance project investigates how civil society engagement of global-scale regulatory mechanisms has and has not furthered the public accountability of those institutions. Leading experts on a range of diverse global governance arrangements join together in an unprecedented comparative study of how civil society associations have and have not enhanced the answerability to constituents of multilateral agencies, transgovernmental networks, interregional frameworks, private global governance mechanisms, and public-private hybrid constructions of global regulation.
