CRPLA Symposium

This image captures a recent symposium hosted by Warwick’s Centre for Research in Philosophy, Literature and the Arts (CRPLA), co-sponsored with the Mead Gallery. Held in dialogue with the Material Worlds textile exhibition, the event brought together philosophers, literary scholars, art historians, and one of the exhibiting artists to explore the intersection of art and ideas. CRPLA has long championed interdisciplinary research and public engagement, supporting postgraduate study and events that connect philosophy with the wider arts. At one such event, a poet even composed new work in response to the gallery’s paintings—art inspiring art.
