Authorised absences and special circumstances

New policy and procedure to requesting authorised absences from missed monitoring points (UG and PGT) and notifying the department of special circumstances regarding examinations (UG):

With the introduction of revised monitoring point schemes (which are clearly detailed in student handbooks and in each student’s tabula profile), the department has developed a new policy and process for notifying the department of circumstances leading to missed monitoring points and requesting authorisation for those missed points on a number of different grounds. All UG and PGT students who have missed monitoring points during term 1 will be emailed early in the new year drawing their attention to this policy and procedure and also inviting students to talk to personal tutors especially where more than one monitoring point has been missed.

For full details of the new policy and procedure to request authorised absences please see:

http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/fac/soc/philosophy/undergraduate/absenceform/

and for further details on student monitoring points and expectations for study please see the appropriate student handbook for your course of study.
