My Bio

I am an educator and researcher in computer science with extensive experience in teaching and mentoring at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. After earning my M.S. (2015) and Ph.D. (2020) in Computer Science from the International Islamic University, Islamabad, where I received the University Gold Medal for academic excellence, I have built a career that blends high-quality teaching with impactful research. From 2018 to 2024, I served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Air University, Pakistan, where I delivered a wide range of courses including Computer Programming using C++, Object-Oriented Programming, Computer Networks, Algorithms, Compiler Construction, and ICT fundamentals.

Currently, I am a Teaching Fellow in Computer Science at Warwick Global Academy, UK, and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), a recognition of my professional commitment to delivering effective and evidence-based teaching and learning in higher education. Beyond the classroom, I have supervised students and guided research projects. My teaching effectiveness is strengthened by my active research background in wireless sensor networks, cooperative communication, buffer-aided relaying, energy harvesting, and the Internet of Things. I have published 21 papers in peer-reviewed international journals and conferences, which informs my ability to introduce students to cutting-edge developments in the field. I have also contributed to the wider academic community as a reviewer for leading journals including IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications, and IEEE Communications Letters, and as a Technical Program Committee member for FIT (2019, 2021) and the China-Pakistan Marine Information Workshop (2021). Recognitions such as my keynote invitation at the 2021 China-Pakistan Marine Information Workshop further highlight the academic impact that supports my teaching practice.

I aim to continue inspiring learners while advancing both the theory and practice of computer science.

Research Interests

My research interests are broad, with a particular emphasis on routing protocols for wireless sensor networks and underwater wireless sensor networks, cooperative communication, buffer-aided cooperative communication, energy harvesting in wireless networks, and the Internet of Things.
