Equity, Diversity and Inclusion

Our EDI team are working to ensure EDI is at the centre of everything that we do.

Our current EDI Leads are:

The EDI Leads are responsible for supporting a culture of social inclusion within WGA. As advisors to the departmental Executive Group (EG), they support members of EG to plan and implement the departmental strategy, ensuring that EDI issues are considered indecision-making processes. They will also act as advisor to the broader staff and student community ensuring that EDI can be embedded into teaching, learning, student and staff experience, and processes more generally.

Warwick's EDI policy can be found on the People webpagesLink opens in a new window (link takes you to E on the A-Z).

Athena Swan

WGA currently holds an Athena Swan Bronze Award. This is awarded to departments that demonstrate structures and processes which underpin and recognise gender equality work, evidence-based recognition of the key issues facing the department, and an action plan to address identified key issues.

In the 2026-27 academic year, we will be looking for a Bronze Renewal, which will involve us also demonstrating our progress against our previously identified priorities.

Social Inclusion Group

Social Inclusion at Warwick is about removing economic, social, and cultural barriers that have prevented people from working, studying, and succeeding at the University.

Find out more about the strategy, projects and more on the Social Inclusion webpages.

Wellbeing

Did you know that as well as looking out for student wellbeing, there is also a dedicated Staff Wellbeing Hub at Warwick.

You can find sources of support to help you stay healthy, whether that is physical health, emotional wellbeing, or social connections.
