Mentee News
Annual Survey Feedback
Our annual survey results captured back at the end of last year show that your Mentors are as happy as ever volunteering for the programme:
- 70% report their Mentor training is used elsewhere in their lives.
- 90% report they enjoy the benefits of connecting with students and alumni
- 90% say they take pride in the additional connection with WBS
We are mindful Mentee sample sizes are low (only 75 responded) but report that 68% of mentee respondents scored their mentoring relationship at 6 or the highest 7, with 80% scoring 5 or above.
We also wish to draw your attention to the number of mentoring conversations taking place.Just over 50% who responded, said they had been in touch with their mentor at least 3 times or more in three months prior to the survey. This means, some mentees, have not been in regular monthly contact, this might be for perfectly understandable and known reasons ... but if things have drifted, make sure you get in touch with your mentor or WBS.
"The mentoring programme has helped me to unlock my own true potential. I have experienced so much growth and have gained so much confidence and this has directly affected my current career path."
"[The} Mentoring programme has been the single most important aid I have received post the MBA graduation. Mentors provide experienced points of view and guidance which is much needed in a tough political and economic environment we are faced with today."
"I'm extremely pleased with the mentoring programme. Having recently moved countries and looking for a new career challenge, the mentoring sessions have been helpful to increase my confidence, to provide CV and interview support, as well as to identify my short and long term career ambitions."
“I have found the mentoring programme both enjoyable and enriching for my personal development. Regularly having to collect my thoughts/reflect on progress or barriers and think about what help or advice I am seeking has been very positive and helpful. I have a lot of balls in the air and so checking in with my mentor on a regular basis is helping me to keep making progress."
