Peer Research
Our research team in the EXIT study included Peer Researchers; five care-experienced young people who were employed as Research Associates.
We were committed to developing this as a meaningful role and created a reflexive tool – Peer Researcher Ability-Motivation-Opportunity “PR-AMO” - that we used to help us to do this. Download a copy of the tool hereLink opens in a new window
We have published an academic paper in the European Journal of Social WorkLink opens in a new window and created a series of short videos to share our experiences and how we developed the tool, alongside the tool itself.
The four short videos are available to watch below. The first video offers an overview of the background to our study; the second focuses more directly on the Peer Researcher role in EXIT; the third introduces the PR-AMO tool and the fourth includes the reflections of two of the Peer Researchers.
