How realistic is our assumed model of stewardship in finance? We discussed this question with our colleague, Professor Yuval Millo, at the Warwick Business School.

But what exactly is the idea of avoided emissions and what is it actually good for? We argue that there are several conceptual, methodological and usage-related caveats that considerably limit the usefulness of avoided emissions as a metric for finance.
