How to ensure you are answering the question - Tuesday 13 November

Not sure if the main ideas in your writing are clear? Not sure if you’re answering the essay question/ addressing the assignment brief?

In this session, you will learn how to express your ideas more confidently and clearly: how to write a strong thesis statement, the importance of clear topic sentences, and the use of signposting language, to help guide the reader through your argument. You will also learn how to conform to the currently accepted style of academic writing by avoiding generalisations and the use of cautious language.

This workshop is for Postgraduate Students only and will run Tuesday 13 November, 9.30 – 11.00, in Room M2
