Proofreading and editing your writing - Wednesday 28 November

Want to get top marks in your assignments? Want to improve the quality of your writing and ensure that your assignments reach the highest possible academic standard? Need some clear simple steps for what you need to check in your assignment before you submit?

In this session, you will develop a deeper understanding of the importance of editing and proofreading. You will be given some practical tips on how to edit your own work, and using a checklist you will practise proofreading an assignment.

Please bring along a sample of your writing which you have already submitted or a draft of one you are working on at the moment (this does not have to be a final draft). You will have the opportunity to assess your own writing during the session. You will also be provided with some reference material on coping with exams for self-study.

This workshop is for Postgraduate Students only and will run Wednesday 28 November, 13.30 – 15.00, in Room 2.004
