Further support for your group work – optional sign up activities

A significant part of your course experience and assessment regime will be assessed group work. Students are allocated to small groups and are set assessment tasks that need to be completed in collaboration within the group. This is a key employment skill – all organisations have to deliver projects that involve groups of employees (often not established working groups, and quite often not co-located). You can expect to be asked about your experience and skills for team working when you attend interviews.

To support you in developing the skills for working in teams, you have already attended a short workshop. We also are now offering some further input to support the group work on your course.

Ideally, your whole team will select and attend this activity, however the workshops are designed so that there is still value in attending even if only some of your group sign up, or even if you attend as an individual and then bring the knowledge gained back to your team.

The following workshops/activities are scheduled to run w/c 25^th October, w/c 1^st November and w/c 15^th November. You need to agree on one activity that you think will add most value to your group and also fits with your study timetables (see schedule at bottom). Please note some of the workshops require pre-work.
