Please find below information on the elective modules available to you in Term 2. Click on the links to view details.

ALL MSAS students will have to complete the required core module - IB9FT0 Professional Ethics and Assurance. You will also have to select ONE of the following electives:

Summer Route Choice

MSc Accounting and Sustainability students can select from the three below route options.

PLEASE NOTE - As an Internship opportunity is not finalized until quite late in the year, we will require all students to make a second choice between Dissertation or Business in Practice. If your internship opportunity is confirmed and finalized, we will then deregister you from your back-up choice.

Logistical and administrative details on the selection process

Please read the below carefully before submitting your choices

1) Number of Electives (Term 2) - Once you have reviewed each module, please use the form below to select your top FOUR module preferences. Please choose them in order of preference (with Elective Choice 1 being your preferred choice). You will then be allocated to TWO elective modules

2) Summer Route Choice - Even if you plan to do an internship and are trying to find one now, you will have to choose a second option between Dissertation or BIP, should finding an internship opportunity be unsuccessful. You will not be able to change this second option later on, so please choose carefully after reviewing all the material provided above.

3) Timetable and Timetabling constraints – There are some unavoidable clashes in the timetable. So, please review these carefully in the below draft timetable before making your choice. Please find attached the draft timetable for Term 2.- *Link opens in a new window**This is not a final timetable and it may be subject to minor changes***

4) Assessment Methods Link opens in a new window - Please click the following link to review the assessment methods for each elective module.

5) DEADLINE - 26th November 2025 at 12 noon. You can make changes to your choices up until the deadline but you will not be able to request any changes after the deadline has passed, so please ensure you take time to read all of the information for each elective. Please remember, any resubmission will overwrite previous submissions.

6) Allocation on modules -

Places may be limited on certain modules. Unfortunately, this means we cannot guarantee that you will be allocated to your preferred module, so please ensure you choose four modules that you are interested in taking.
There will be minimum number of students required on each of the elective modules for them to be viable.
Places are NOT allocated on a first come first served basis so you don't need to rush to submit your choices.
Places may be allocated taking into account your attendance and engagement on your course so far.

6) Registration on Elective modules- You will registered on elective modules early/mid December. You will be able to view what modules you were allocated through Mywbs.

7) Term 3 Elective Selection Process - This will be during Term 2.
