MIM Term 3 Electives

MIM students have to choose one elective module in term 3. This should be in line with their term 2 pathway choice, either Generalist, Consulting, or Entrepreneurship

To successfully complete the entrepreneurship or consulting pathway you must take two of the three pathway modules. If you have undertaken only one of the entrepreneurship or consulting pathway modules in term 2, you must rank the partner pathway module as your first choice. If you have undertaken both pathway modules in term two, you can select any module from the list as your 1st preference.

For students that have submitted their internship application on time, you must select the Management Internship module (IB9YG0) as your first choice, and at least another two elective modules in case there is a cancellation to your internship. If you do not select a second and third choice elective, one will be selected for you.

In addition to these videos you can review each module in the university Module Catalogue. To search for a module, enter the module code but remove the final character (e.g. for IB9MS0 enter IB9MS). The catalogue entry will show the module aims, objectives, and assessment methods. Please note the method of delivery of 'study time' can vary dependent on the term in which a module is offered. All term 3 modules will be run over a 2-week period.
Elective Selection process
The elective selection process will close at 12noon on Wednesday 26th February 2025 and no further changes will be accepted after that time. While the form is open you can make changes. However, any resubmission will overwrite previous submissions.
Although you will only be allocated to one module, all students must rank a minimum of two modules in weeks 4 & 5, and a minimum of two modules in weeks 6 & 7.
You are asked to rank your preferences on the form in case we are not able to grant you a place on your preferred option. If demand exceeds spaces available on a module, students will be allocated at random (i.e. not on a first come first served basis) to fill the number of places available.
Please ensure you have fully reviewed the information available before making your selection to ensure you have fully understood the process.
Once the selections have been finalised you will be registered to the confirmed elective and will be able to access the module area on my.wbs
To complete the form you must be logged in to this page, you can check if you are logged in by scrolling up and looking in the top right corner.
When logged in your ID, name and email information will auto populate, these are non editable fields, if you are not logged in, these fields will be blank and your choices will not be registered.
If you have already submitted the form and you were not logged in, you must resubmit ahead of the deadline.

This form is closed and is no longer accepting any submissions.

Please message managementpg@wbs.ac.uk if you have any questions.

Thank you.
