Look Wider

Look beyond the boundaries of Coventry, and have a day out in...

Coventry - Everything in the local area.

Birmingham - History, shopping, and much more!

Kenilworth - A ruined castle, extensive parklands, and beautiful old houses and streets to discover.

Warwick - A not so ruined castle and a beautiful old town to wander around.

Stratford - Birthplace of the Bard, Tudor buildings, a bustling riverside, and plenty of small shops to peruse.

You could also take the train down to London for a day - the train from Coventry to London Euston takes about an hour, details from National Rail Enquiries.

It doesn't take too long to travel further afield. Coventry is not far from the beautiful areas of the Cotswolds and the Peak District - both accessible by public transport - ideal for a little 'getting away from it all'.

The Cotswolds has a host of beautiful towns and villages, full of honey coloured buildings - if the quintessential English country house exists, it probably is here! Visit the British Motor Museum, Blenheim Palace, or try a little retail therapy in Cheltenham or Tetbury.

And the Peak District, to the north-east of Coventry has views to take your breath away (if you haven't already had it taken away by the walk up to the top of the hills to see the views themselves!). Hire a bike to ride the Monsal trail, visit the magnificent Chatsworth, or take in some amazing views at the Heights of Abraham.
