Using big data to imagine a brighter futureOur exceptional researchers from Mathematical Sciences are involved in the Alan Turing Institute for Data Science. Warwick is one of five universities helping meet society’s toughest challenges, and strengthen the links between academia and technology industries. |
Applying Computer Science to aid cancer diagnosisProfessor Nasir Rajpoot is working with University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust to use computer systems to see the small differences in cells in the same way that they have currently been using a microscope. Professor Rajpoot’s work allows pathologists to grade some types of tumours, allowing them to make sound decisions on many aspects of cancer diagnosis.
