Why Give to Student Support?

Everyone deserves an education

Imagine being a bright student aspiring to come to university but no-one in your family can advise you because it’s outside their experience. Your teachers are trying to help, but not many pupils from your school go on to higher education. Where would you find the confidence to apply? You’re worried about finances and face a choice between working to support your family and continuing your studies. What would you do?

Everyone deserves a fair chance at achieving their goals. Students’ circumstances shouldn’t limit their potential, and with the support of our donors we can do so much more for many more.

Your gifts fund more opportunities, ensuring access to a world-leading university is open to people from all backgrounds.
By supporting Warwick, you can ensure everyone has a fair chance at achieving their goals regardless of where they started from.

Student support at Warwick

Warwick works with students in schools to help them prepare for and apply to university, and this work begins from primary school age. Our committed team of outreach experts are on hand to offer mentoring and support.

Students from low-income families are eligible to apply for bursaries and scholarships to help reduce financial pressures. Supporting students is important because diversity is important. It is an integral part of a thriving university community that includes students of all nationalities and backgrounds.

Time spent at University is about much more than a degree. It’s a time to expand horizons, experience new things and meet different people with varied life experiences.

Areas of Support

IntoUniversity

Warwick has partnered with IntoUniversity, a national education charity, to fund an outreach centre in the heart of Coventry working to raise the aspirations of children from some of the poorest homes in the UK.

Warwick Scholars

Over the past decade, Warwick Scholars has ensured that gifted and talented undergraduate scholars from under-represented backgrounds can take up a place at Warwick.

Expanding horizons

Often the experiences students have at university beyond their degrees can have a profound effect on their lives in years to come.

Innovation Fund

Every year we fund innovative, exciting projects designed to tackle inequality challenges, that need seed funding to get off the ground.
