Being International is in our DNA
Global engagement is a key feature of multiple teams across the University.
Our institutional International strategy is led by the Pro Vice Chancellor (International), Prof Michael Scott, with the support of the International Executive.
Our International Executive is composed of Deputy Pro Vice Chancellors who provide academic leadership within specific global regions; Faculty Deputy Chairs for External Engagement who provide Faculty-level co-ordination for international activities; and the senior leads of the International Strategy and Relations team who develop and manage our global partnerships alongside leading on the operationalisation of other elements of our strategy.
We invite you to read our International Strategy 2024-2030.
Warwick's international identity is deeply engrained in its DNA. We recognise we are richer for the many communities that make us, and we see the world as a place that can be transformed for the better by learning and working together - both with those near at hand and across the world.
We are part of a vibrant global network - a multicultural Warwick family - and this strategy will ensure the continued growth of our international profile and collaborations. I could not be prouder of our work, the incredible people delivering it, and the positive impact we are creating.
Professor Michael Scott, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (International)
Our International Committee
Pan-Institutional engagement and collaboration across international activities, in alignment with the International strategy, is delivered through the International Committee and particular aspects of it are co-ordinated through a series of working groups reporting into International Committee, each with representation from the key delivery teams. For more detail, see our International Committee organogram.

The Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU)
We are a global network of universities with a shared commitment to building a better world through international collaboration in higher education. As the world's first and oldest international university network, we have been bringing universities together from across the Commonwealth for more than 100 years.
UK HE Humanitarian Group
Over 100 million people across the world are forcibly displaced. Amongst those forcibly displaced are talented scholars and academics. Unable to continue their studies, research careers or access higher education, the world risks losing their knowledge and contributions forever. The UK higher education sector has a proud tradition of supporting those forcibly displaced due to conflict, violence or persecution and has a leading role to play in responding to this global challenge.
The Group works to advance, coordinate and catalyse support for forcibly displaced academics and students across UK higher education.
UK-Indonesia Consortium for Interdisciplinary Sciences (UKICIS)
Warwick is a founding member of the UK-Indonesia Consortium for Interdisciplinary Sciences (UKICIS), a UK-Indonesian universities alliance pioneering research and expertise to build global resilience against pandemics, the climate emergency, and natural hazards. It serves to develop and enhance educational, economic, and cultural links through outreach activities and community engagement.
British Irish Chamber of Commerce
The British Irish Chamber of Commerce was founded in 2011 ahead of the historic visit of HM Queen Elizabeth II to Ireland and the subsequent State visit of President Michael D. Higgins to Britain. The objective of the Chamber is to champion the €90 billion annual trade between the UK and Ireland which directly sustains over 600,000 jobs. We are a bilateral Chamber, engaging members from across two islands and five legislative bodies in meaningful dialogue with a common purpose.
Midlands Economic Forum
The Midlands Economic Forum (MEF) is a neutral independent forum designed to bring together representatives of the public, private and voluntary sectors to evaluate real trends in the local economy.
The Group works to advance, coordinate and catalyse support for forcibly displaced academics and students across UK higher education.

Anchored in their communities, Russell Group universities are global institutions with a vital role to play in cities and towns in every corner of the UK. Partnership is at the heart of our universities’ ethos. Working with schools, colleges, local authorities, the NHS, businesses and charities, our universities use their scale, research excellence and global links to provide solutions for real problems facing families, businesses and public services.
Universities of Sanctuary
We are a national network of university staff, lecturers, academics and students. Together we are working to make Higher Education institutions places of safety, solidarity and empowerment for people seeking sanctuary.
