We play an active role in European higher education, research and innovation, and are proud to be a founding member of the EUTOPIA European University allianceLink opens in a new window. In 2022, the European Commission renewed EUTOPIA’s funding, providing a further €14.3 million for EUTOPIA to continue developing a new model for Higher Education in Europe.
Through our membership of prestigious European networks, including The Guild of European Research Intensive UniversitiesLink opens in a new window and Friends of EuropeLink opens in a new window, we extend our influence within higher education, research, policy and industry across Europe.
Our beautiful centre in the heart of historic Venice will benefit thousands of students, researchers and partners from all over the world. Overlooking the Grand Canal, the space within the Palazzo Giustinian Lolin building will be used as an all-year round centre for seminars, summer schools and degree modules.

As our first bilateral joint fund in Europe, the call supports research-focused collaborations that will support preliminary investigations, pilot initiatives, and event organisation.

The Guild
As a founding member of The Guild, Warwick has benefitted from the development of The Guild’s reputation as a constructive voice in research policymaking in Brussels.
European University Association
EUA is a community of over 900 members and affiliates. It represents universities and national rectors’ conferences in 48 European countries, as well as affiliated organisations and networks based both in and beyond Europe.
Warwick's incredible new home in the heart of Venice has flexible spaces to host lectures, seminars, summer schools and research events. Overlooking the Grand Canal, the centre within the Palazzo Giustinian Lolin is the Univeristy's hub for teaching, learning, research workshops, summer schools, degree modules, and more. Dating back to the seventeenth century, with a facade by Baldassare Longhena, our centre provides unique opportunities for students to immerse themselves in the history, art, culture, and myriad complexities of this amazing city.

Warwick Venice Centre hosts CAGE Workshop: "Women in Environmental Economics"
The WVC was pleased to host a workshop organized by Ludovica Gazze (Warwick/CAGE), Andrea La Nauze (University of Melbourne), and Mar Reguant (Northwestern University) in April 2026. The workshop brought together over 20 women working in Environmental economics at the Warwick Venice Centre.
