Call for 2025 now open!

An upscaling and upskilling programme for German and British research teams working together bilaterally.

The British Council in Germany is launching the Springboard Programme call to either build new or strengthen existing scientific collaborations between German and British labs involving early career researchers. This scheme is part of the British Council Going Global Partnerships Programme.

The University of Warwick was proud to host a delegation from universities across China, all working in professional support services. Their visit, coordinated by Oxford Prospects, formed part of a UK-wide tour to explore best practices in student wellbeing support within higher education.

The University of Warwick is pleased to announce the appointment, effective 1st August, of Dr Bryan Brazeau as the new Director of the Warwick Venice Centre (WVC). This strategic leadership role will see Dr Brazeau working in close collaboration with Professor Michael Scott, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (International), to guide the Centre into its next phase of growth and innovation.

As part of the next long-term EU budget 2028-2034, the Commission is proposing to double the budget of the research and innovation framework programme to €175 billion

Lelia Buretia, EU Research Development Officer will be delivering ‘Information sessions on EU Funding’. These briefing sessions will be online, every Wednesday between 12.00 – 12.40, starting 23^rd July, each session will cover a different Horizon Europe funding call. Last week, the University of Warwick was delighted to host two distinguished delegations from Washington University in St. Louis (WashU), further strengthening the growing partnership between our institutions.

This edition:

• Welcomes the University of Luxembourg as the newest member of The Guild.
• On 22–23 May, university presidents from The Guild and LERU gathered in Leuven to celebrate the 600th anniversaries of UCLouvain and KU Leuven. Joined by European policymakers and higher education leaders, they explored how universities can shape the future of Europe in a rapidly changing world.
• The launch of the annual lecture on academic freedom in Brussels, in partnership with Université PSL and Institut Curie.
