UPF’s +RAIN Film Festival Opens Third Call For AI-Generated Films
The +RAIN Film Festival, Europe’s first dedicated to AI-generated films, opens its third call for films. Organised by Pompeu Fabra University and Sónar, it explores the aesthetic, narrative, ethical, and political implications of AI in cinema and the arts. Creators are encouraged to submit their films for the 2025 edition of the festival by 9 March 2025. Two prizes will be awarded among the selected works
EUTOPIA_HEALTH Trainings on Impact and Science Communication
Maximising the impact of research and effectively communicating scientific discoveries are significant challenges faced by researchers worldwide today. EUTOPIA_HEALTH organised a series of two-day interactive training sessions in 2024 (Ljubljana, December 9-10 and Cluj-Napoca, December 12-13). In early 2025 the workshops were held in Lisbon (January 16-17, 2025). Designed for researchers and professionals in science management, these sessions focused on enhancing impact and improving science communication. Over the two days, participants explored various tools and strategies to increase the relevance of their work and make it more accessible to diverse audiences.

Five EUTOPIA Researchers Awarded ERC Proof of Concept Grants
EUTOPIA is delighted to compliment five of its outstanding researchers who have been awarded the European Research Council (ERC) Proof of Concept grants. The ERC Proof of Concept grants are awarded to help researchers explore the commercial and societal innovation potential of their ERC-funded research. These grants provide €150,000 for each project to bridge the gap between early-phase findings and their practical application. This funding hopes to encourage scientific results into tangible innovations that benefit industry and society.

Prof. Stuart Croft Named Interim Chair of EUTOPIA

New Research project with Ca' Foscari University of Venice
